AFUE stands for Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency and measures how much of the fuel your furnace uses actually heats your home versus escaping as waste. Higher AFUE ratings (like 97% or 96%) mean your furnace converts more fuel into usable heat, directly reducing energy waste and lowering your monthly heating costs.

The INFINITY® Variable Speed furnace uses a modulating gas valve that continuously adjusts heat output to match your home’s exact heating needs, reaching up to 97.4% AFUE and operating ultra-quietly. The INFINITY® Two Speed uses two fixed heating stages instead, reaching up to 96.7% AFUE while still offering excellent efficiency and often running at the lower, quieter stage up to 90% of the time.
